2 1/2 years ago Pii (of The Natives), son of former ohio player and now world famous gospel music producer, bobby cartwright jr. locked himself in the studio with long time friend and up and coming music producer, Rell got beats, to turn out 10 original tracks that would be dedicated to the area the two met at… west chester, a community that lies on the outskirts of cincinnati, exactly “20 Miles North” from downtown.

Pii who is from the heart of cincinnati and Rell who migrated from the vibrant streets of the bronx, new york.. both with the spirit of hip hop on their hearts, crossed paths in the most unusual of communities… and the rest was history

in this 10 song project Pii relays the struggle of black acheivement and expectation in the street and suburbs alike. matched with Rell’s innovative and original southern bass sound its a deadly 1, 2 and a must hear.
