Make sure you head down to the Freedom Center tonight to support the Elementz Youth Center:
5:30 p.m: Workshop with Peter Block, author of “Abundant Communities: Awakening the Power of Families and Neighborhoods” and Dr. Vincent Garcia, Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics, School of Medicine, UC. Mr. Block and Dr. Garcia will lead a workshop on a movement called “Core Change”. Core Change Cincinnati is an ambitious undertaking to dramatically transform the plight of young adults in the city’s most economically distressed communities. Followed by a reception with Mr. Block and Dr. Garcia.
7:00 p.m: Showcase of Elementz young artists, featuring original music and dance in the hip hop style, and short video biographies of each young artists parpared in collaboration with CET.
Workshop (5:30pm): $50

This past Friday me and some of the OTR crew set up shop at the Pac Gallery for the closing of @Elementz_Center exhibit: “UNKNOWN”.
Gotta say it was a really good time, good music, drinks, pizza, dancing white chicks etc. All of the art was graffiti and done by a few local artist as well as performances by some of the Elementz Center artists. Mayor Mark Mallory even stopped in to see what all the fuss was about!! Now this was my first time seeing them in action, and they were great! They have a showcase every Final Thursday @ 6:00pm on 1599 Central Pkwy.
Definitely something you should check out and get involved with.
