Saturday October 1st 2011, we’re debuting an event that we are extremely excited about… we call it TRIBUTE. Every first Saturday of the month we will be dedicating the night to two special artists… playing music from all of their albums, songs from they’ve guest starred on, or tracks they’ve produced.

Aside from dedicating the night to our favorite artists, we will def be bringing along the illest DJ’s from all over to help you pay TRIBUTE all night!!! TRIBUTE is designed to be a party’s party, so don’t come and not expect to hit the dance floor…

Our first TRIBUTE is dedicated to Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Along with DJ BANDCAMP, DJ SINCEER, and DJ MAGNIFICENT we are bringing the homie VIC LLOYD from the Chicago Leaders crew to turn the night on it’s head.

If you don’t know VIC, he runs one of the best streetwear shop’s in the world as leading the nightlife scene in the Chi… def check the kid’s resume.

The homie Joe “Freshgoods” will be in the building holding down the hosting duties, with Dope.Boy.Magic gear on deck!!!

ROC x Hot 97

I can’t even explain how dope these videos are!!! When I was a senior in high school, the Roc was that deal, PERIOD. Before Dipset, Jay was the lead a wild crew of loyal soldiers; Bleek, Beans, Free, YG’z (at age 16), O and Sparks (before they were even called State Prop) and they was all hungry to destroy the mic.

In 2001 I downloaded a Roc Hot 97 live freestyle album… It had to be the craziest thing I had heard up until that point and I made sure everybody I came across heard it, cuz I knew nobody at that point in Ohio heard anything of the sort… Of course this was back in 01, before broadband internet took over and youtube and all the things we use now to see pretty much we want to, this album was a gem…

Let me get to the point… Cipha Sounds just released the video to this CRAZY session… Enjoy.

O yea, I’ll be uploading the actual album tonight because this is something you should have, If you don’t (especially you youngsters lmao).

Links to the album (i even threw in the second session they did, where they went in on Nas and D-Block, can’t remember if that was the 01 fall or if it was 02). I had to dig through my collection pretty tough to find these joints. ENJOY
